Derek Jeter’s resume as an MLB player is as deep and impressive as anybody. Whether it’s 14 all-star appearances, five gold glove awards, five silver slugger awards and let’s not forget Jeter is also a five time World Series champion as well. The list goes on and on for Jeter and he starts his last home stand of his illustrious career tonight against the Orioles.

Derek Jeter has 350 career hits against the Orioles, which is his most against any team. This will be the last time that the Orioles will have to deal with Jeter and I’m sure that they won’t miss getting torched by him, but the respect between Jeter and the Orioles organization is mutual.

Jeter has carried himself with class and dignity throughout his MLB career. It’s not easy to play in New York City, but Jeter is loved and respected by a city that is known as being rough and tough. Jeter has struggled this season hitting at a .255 average this season with only 4 homerun’s and 46 RBI’s. Those stats all go out the window this series. Jeter is looking to end his Yankee career on a positive note.
