After tearing his Achilles late in the 2012-2013, Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant returned last season.

More from Los Angeles Lakers

Byrant’s comeback didn’t last long – he suffered a fractured leg after just six games and went back out for the rest of the season.

The Lakers suffered through a 27-55 season and Bryant has made it his mission to get back for the 2014-2015 season and make sure the Lakers don’t miss out on the postseason for the second straight season. Bryant has been working out and is now participating in scrimmages.

According to Serena Winters of Lakers Nation, Bryant has looked “very good” in five-on-five.

The Lakers obviously need Bryant healthy if they want to make any kind of a run at the postseason and even if he is healthy, making the playoffs is a long-shot.

Bryant averaged 13.1 points, 6.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 42.5% from the field, 18.8% from beyond the arc and 85.7% from the free throw line. In his storied career, he has averaged 25.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 45.4% from the field, 33.5% from three and 83.8% from the charity stripe.
