During Chris Bosh’s stint in Toronto, the power forward was often found in the post for the Raptors. That changed when the former Georgia Tech product signed with the Miami Heat, suggesting he preferred to play outside.

More from Miami Heat

Bosh was able to get away with such given LeBron James was on the roster, but now with James moving on, Chris Bosh knows he’s going to have to shoulder a larger load for the Miami Heat. Because of that, Chris Bosh says he plans to return to the post more often this season.

“I had to play a role,” Bosh said Tuesday. “I had to play the role for the championships. I feel that I’m back to doing what comes naturally for me, which is being back in the post, being more aggressive. I’m really excited to show the city of Miami what I have.”

Bosh went on to say that the Miami Heat preferred to have both James and Dwyane Wade in the post as they were able to use their size to their advantage, which is why he played more of a face up game from the elbow.

After LeBron James decided to depart South Beach and sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Chris Bosh began to work on his interior game immediately. He admitted that he was a titch rusty at first, but much like riding a bike, you never forget how to play in the post.
