Phoenix Suns sign Zoran Dragic, brother of Goran Dragic
By Bryan Rose
If you’re an out of work point guard looking for a career in the NBA, you might want to give the Phoenix Suns a call. Not only have the Suns signed Isaiah Thomas as a free agent, re-signed Eric Bledsoe and drafted Tyler Ennis (all while having Goran Dragic on the roster), they’ve also signed Zoran Dragic.

For weeks the Suns (among others) were linked to Zoran, younger brother of Goran, but today they finally inked their man after signing him to a two-year, $3.5 million dollar deal.
In addition, it will cost $1 million dollars to buy Zoran Dragic out of his contract with Spanish team Unicaja Malaga, though it’s not known if Zoran Dragic or the Phoenix Suns will foot the bill.
It’s a solid grab for the Phoenix Suns as Zoran Dragic should become a very solid rotation player in the NBA. He’s unlikely to become a star and doesn’t project to be as good as his brother, though will still be serviceable for the Suns.
Of course, the addition of Zoran Dragic clutters the already deep Phoenix Suns backcourt. It seems clear that Tyler Ennins will be stapled to the pine while Zoran Dragic likely gets a few minutes of action each game, though not much more as the team is currently committed to Thomas, Bledsoe and the elder Dragic.
The Phoenix Suns don’t expect to have any trouble re-signing Goran Dragic at season end, though you have to think playing with his brother will only help the cause.
