As we close in on the start of training camp, teams are adding bodies for training camp.

More from Chicago Bulls

On Friday, the Chicago Bulls added veteran center Solomon Jones.

Jones appeared in 11 games for the Orlando Magic last season. He averaged 1.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game while shooting 35.3% from the field and 50.0% from the charity stripe.

The signing was announced by Jones’ agency, Priority Sports while Shams Charania of RealGM reports that it is a one-year deal.

Jones has some talent and although he is mainly a big body for camp, he has a shot to make the roster.

Jones was originally selected with the 33rd-overall pick in the second round of the 2006 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks. After three seasons in Atlanta, he spent two with the Indiana Pacers, played for both the New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Clippers in the 2011-2012 season then the New York Knicks in the 2012-2013 season.
