Orlando Magic’s Victor Oladipo needs more confidence
The Orlando Magic had the worst record during the 2012-2013 season but only received the number two overall pick after the draft lottery. However, after the Cleveland Cavaliers selected Anthony Bennett, the Magic got their man in Victor Oladipo. The Magic are pleased with Oladipo’s progression but believe he needs to develop more confidence.

“Looking back on last season, Victor did an excellent job of competing consistently and working through the proverbial rookie growing pains, and I think this year will hopefully be an extension of a better understanding of how the NBA game’s played,” Magic general manager Rob Hennigan told Josh Robbins of The Orlando Sentinel. “As he continues to get more confidence and experience, I would hope that he continues to get more comfortable and continues to be more productive on the floor because of it.”
Oladipo isn’t one to lack in that department so that should come natural for him as gains experience.
As a rookie, Oladipo averaged 13.8 points, 4.1 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game while shooting 41.9% from the field, 32.7% from beyond the arc and 78.0% from the charity stripe last season.
