What makes the injury Rondo suffered even harder to deal with is the fact that his hand was broken away from the court. According to Chris Mannix from SI.com, Rondo broke his hand while at his home.
It’s a tough break — no pun intended — but the Celtics will need to press on without Rondo. There was so much hope for this season, and the only thing that seemed to stand in the way of either Rondo returning to glory or establishing his trade value was an injury.
That’s what has happened and while it’s hard to stomach, it’s a setback that both the Celtics and Rondo will have to get past together. It’s just unfortunate that the injury happened in what was likely extremely preventable circumstances.
