Jeremy Lin inspired by Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash
By Bryan Rose
When Jeremy Lin was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers this past offseason, the point guard couldn’t have been more thrilled. Not only was he returning home to his native California, but Lin would be playing alongside two legendary players.

That’s not something that has been taken for granted by Jeremy Lin who says both Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash inspire him.
“I saw Kobe and Nash’s on court performance. They look very active in scrimmages. it’s as if they were reborn. This actually has a huge effect on me. Seeing Nash and Kobe training almost like robots, I am very impressed. They clearly understand what they are here for & what to do. They finish their objectives and leave. Their attention to detail are very robotic, not messing around or wasting time at all.”
While Lin has proven himself to be a solid offensive player in the past, it’s the expectation of the Los Angeles Lakers that the point guard will be even better in Southern California.
Unlike his previous stop with the Houston Rockets and New York Knicks, the Los Angeles Lakers have plenty of big men who can play in a pick and roll (or pick and pop) offense which should help Jeremy Lin thrive.
Add in the knowledge he’ll receive playing alongside both Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash and it’s shaping up to be a career year for Lin in Los Angeles.
