Jerry Jones thinks Dallas Cowboys may be overlooked as contender
By Bryan Rose
For three straight seasons, the Dallas Cowboys have finished with an 8-8 record. Every year they’re though to be a contender only to falter come December. Will they do that again this year? Not if owner Jerry Jones has anything to say about it.

After a rough opening week against the San Francisco 49ers, the Dallas Cowboys have reeled off two straight victories and sit one game behind the NFC East leading Philadelphia Eagles. Needless to say, if things continue to go well for Dallas, they could potentially find themselves in contention for a playoff spot.
That’s a sentiment echoed by Jerry Jones as he feels his Dallas Cowboys are being overlooked as a contender.
“I think we’ve shown some things that would cause you to hold in discounting us,” Jones stated. “That’s an awkward way of saying that we should be looked at out of the corner of peoples’ eye. We’ve got to do it, though. We’ve got to put it together, with putting the right people on the field as it relates to injury, and that’s happening for us.”
Jones went on to say that he’s a big believer in the Dallas Cowboys’ offensive line and if quarterback Tony Romo can get his timing down, people need to give the Cowboys a few extra looks as he feels they’re among the NFC’s elite.
