Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams called out former teammate and Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith on Twitter Thursday, as the two teams will face each other for the first time since Smith’s departure.

More from Baltimore Ravens

The picture above of Williams in the goggles is in response to a comment Steve Smith made about playing his former team on WFNZ on Wednesday night.

"“I want to make sure that whatever team I go to, they’re going to get the best, in-shape 35-year-old guy they can get. If that happens to run through Bank of America Stadium, put your goggles on cause there’s going to be blood and guts everywhere,” Smith said."

The 2-1 Baltimore Ravens are coming off a 23-21 win against the Cleveland Browns. In the previous week, the Ravens took down the Pittsburgh Steelers 26-6. In week one, the Ravens suffered a 23-16 loss to the 3-0 Cinicnnati Bengals. The Ravens have only played divison games so far, but now will host an interconference game against the Carolina Panthers.

The Panthers are also 2-1 coming off their first loss after a 37-19 rout by the Steelers. The Panthers previously beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions.

Baltimore is favored by 3.5 points and we’ll see if any bad blood boils over between Smith and his former team.
