Washington Redskins allegedly sold old beer to fans (Photo)

As if watching the Washington Redskins get obliterated at home against the New York Giants on Thursday night wasn’t bad enough for their fans, to add insult to injury they probably just paid $8 dollars for an expired beer.

It’s not known if it was simply a rogue concession stand or bottled beer across FedEx Field was bad, but multiple people who attended the Giants-Redskins game posted a picture of their beer which included a promotion for the FIFA World Cup. You know, the same one that was played a few months ago?
Some of the ‘canning’ dates on the bottle date far back as June according to DC Sports Bog.
"But the Redskins played again on Thursday night, about 2 1/2 months after the World Cup ended and 3 1/2 months after that tournament started. And yet again, a fan received a World Cup-branded beer at FedEx Field."
This of course wasn’t technically the fault of the Washington Redskins nor even the brewer as it’s simply a case of the supplier/vendor not providing ‘fresh’ beer. It’s likely something was just lost in translation though you’d think somebody would have seen the FIBA World Cup logo and checked things out to make sure everything was okay.
Venturing to guess that was the last time we’ll see any expired beverage sold at a Washington Redskins game this season.
