Talent has never been a question for Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, though the former Cornhusker can be a bit of a problem on the field thanks to his dirty play.

More from Detroit Lions

Perhaps tiring of that or simply not willing to pay the lofty price tag he’ll command, Adam Schefter states that the Lions are preparing to let Ndamukong Suh walk in free agency. More than that, it appears as if the feeling is mutual as Suh himself seems to desire a change as well.

Rumors of Suh’s departure from Motown have been hinted for weeks though Schefter’s reporting of such seems to put the nail in the proverbial coffin.

There’s no solid confirmation as to why a change is allegedly desired though you have to think its namely financial on the part of the Detroit Lions. Suh is a very talented player but defensive tackle is mildly easy to replace in the draft and free agency. Add in the replacement is likely to be at least a third of the cost and you can see why the Lions would be willing to make such a move. As for Suh, he could be seeking a new challenge or perhaps he’s not happy with the lack of success from the Detroit Lions.
