When the Houston Rockets traded Jeremy Lin to the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this offseason, the California native was ecstatic.

More from Los Angeles Dodgers

It wasn’t that Lin was eager to leave the Rockets by any stretch, but the point guard was not only returning to his home state but he knew he’d be given a wonderful opportunity in the bright lights of Southern California. So far so good as Jeremy Lin is expected to play a significant amount for the Los Angeles Lakers this season though could possibly moonlight as a baseball player.

Lin was in attendance for the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Saturday night victory over the Colorado Rockies and was given the opportunity to throw out the first pitch.

He didn’t disappoint throwing a solid fastball which seemingly morphed into a sinker.

It’s not known if Jeremy Lin spent part of his youth playing baseball but he certainly has some skills, at least in the pitching department.

The former New York Knicks guard is expected to thrive in the Los Angeles Lakers system this season thanks to the influx of big men who will help his solid pick-and-roll game. But if he ever feels like picking up a baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers might want to give him a call.
