The Dodgers players who aren’t playing in the final game Sunday against the Colorado Rockies at home, are having a little fun switching up their roles. Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez is also not playing so he is wearing the Dodgers’ bench coach Tim Wallach’s jersey and Clayton Kershaw is wearing pitching coach Rick Honeycutt’s jersey.
The Dodgers clinched the NL West division a while ago, so their final game against Colorado is basically just for fun. Their 93-68 record is second best in the NL to the Washington Nationals 96-66. The Dodgers might want to start preparing for some Nationals momentum going into the playoffs after Jordan Zimmerman pitched a no-hitter for Washington Sunday in their final game.
The other teams secured in the playoffs along with the Dodgers and Nationals for the NL include the St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates and San Fransisco Giants.
