NFL fines Colts’ Reggie Wayne for pants being too short
By Bryan Rose
Every professional sports league has a dress code though the NFL is known to be a bit anal about their rules. That’s something Reggie Wayne of the Indianapolis Colts found out on Sunday morning.

You may have never looked close enough but before and during the game, there is an NFL official doing nothing but keeping their eye on the wardrobe of players. Apparently whomever was in charge of the Colts game today felt that Reggie Wayne’s pants didn’t meet the NFL’s standards as he was apparently fined $5,500 bucks because hits pants were too short.
While that seems to be a silly reason to fine a player it’s just one of many odd fines levied by the NFL this season and in the past. Previous fines have been issued for players wearing a letter or digit on their cleat or helmet, some even because their socks weren’t league issued.
Needless to say, Reggie Wayne probably won’t make the mistake of having his pants not covering his knees the next time he takes the field.
