The Minnesota Vikings, behind rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, pulled off one of the more impressive wins in the NFL on Sunday, defeating the Atlanta Falcons 41-28. While the play of Bridgewater had a lot to do with the team coming away with the win, they could have also been pumped from a message they got prior to the game from running back Adrian Peterson.

Yes, the Adrian Peterson that is currently not with the team while he deals with the domestic violence controversy that is currently surrounding him.
Prior to the game getting underway, Peterson texted a message to head coach Mike Zimmer, a message that he read to the team. While the entire content of the message is unknown, Bridgewater noted after the game that it was very moving, for the most part.
“The words that Adrian texted Coach Zimmer were very deep,” quarterback Teddy Bridgewater said. “One thing I took away from that message was, play each down like it’s your last, because you never know when it’s going to be your last opportunity. I think the guys got that message pretty well.”
It’s not known at this time whether or not Peterson will return to the team, nor a timetable for when a decision on that could be made. He’s currently on the commissioner’s exempt list while he fights his ban for accusations of child abuse.
