On Saturday, the North Carolina State Wolfpack got off to a perfect start, taking a 24-7 lead over the top-ranked Florida State Seminoles.

From there on out, the Seminoles took control of the game, outscoring the Wolfpack 49-17 (with all three Wolfpack scores coming off of turnovers) en route to a 56-41 victory. Most praised the Wolfpack for the performance and simply chalked the final score up to the Seminoles’ talent winning out.
Not North Carolina State Wolfpack head coach Dave Doeren.
Instead, Doeren is blaming the Seminoles’ players and pretty much accused them of faking injures.
“The tempo we had (in the first quarter) was working until all the crazy fall down things were going on and the clock kept stopping,” Doeren said via Andrew Ivins of The Rocky Mountain Telegram. “You know the refs can’t do anything about that, but it’s horrible the way the tempo gets slow downed by these injuries. We went fast in the first-quarter, I guess there were no fake injuries.”
It seems a little ridiculous considering the Seminoles already have lost starting defensive lineman Nile Lawrence-Stample and were without their best defensive player, Mario Edwards, leaving them very thing on depth. Plus, one of the lineman that went down was Eddie Goldman, perhaps the country’s best defensive tackle.
Doeren was also very vocal about a lack of holding calls on the Seminoles following the game.
