Los Angeles Clippers expect improvement from DeAndre Jordan
By Bryan Rose
Although DeAndre Jordan was thought to be relatively raw coming out of Texas, the college standout has morphed into quite the NBA talent and a force in the middle for the Los Angeles Clippers.

As he continues to improve, might an All-Star appearance be in the works for Jordan? It doesn’t seem out of the question as the Los Angeles Clippers expect their big man to improve his all-around game this season including head coach Doc Rivers.
“I want him to be the best defensive player in the league, like he was last year,” Rivers said. “Offensively, he was good. He scored a lot of points last year. He will get better because we asked him to work on things offensively, but he’s our defensive captain and that will not change.”
While DeAndre Jordan may not have the same name recognition as Blake Griffin or Chris Paul he’s proven himself to be just as vital a cog in their lineup.
It’s believed that one of the things DeAndre Jordan spent much of his offseason training was his poor free throw shooting. His inability to hit from the charity stripe often resulted in being benched for stretches during the 4th quarter though the big man hopes that will change this season.
If it did, such is a scary proposition for fellow Western Conference foes who may have to deal with Jordan protecting the Los Angeles Clippers’ paint late in games.
