By Bryan Rose
On Wednesday night the San Francisco Giants will take on the Pittsburgh Pirates in a winner-take-all Wild Card contest which could be Pablo Sandoval’s last game in orange and black.

A free agent at season end, Pablo Sandoval has yet to extend his contract with the San Francisco Giants after the team felt he was asking for too much money. The two decided to shelve talks until after the season though it doesn’t appear as if either side is willing to budge.
If a deal isn’t agreed upon and Pablo Sandoval does become a free agent, the Miami Marlins sound as if they’ll be interested in the infielder though may seek a position switch.
"If the Marlins can somehow lure Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval (.279, 16, 73) in free agency, they would be more likely to keep Casey McGehee at third, where he led the league in fielding percentage, and use Sandoval at first than vice versa."
Nobody really knows which way the San Francisco Giants are leaning regarding the re-signing of Pablo Sandoval though you have to wonder if the Miami Marlins would be willing to commit that type of coin to a talented, though at times problematic hacker.
For what it’s worth the Marlins have stated they plan to be more aggressive in free agency this winter though were said to be most intrigued with pitching.
