Rob Bironas’ blood alcohol level was nearly three times legal limit

Toxicology reports revealed former Tennessee Titans kicker Rob Bironas had a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit at the time of his fatal crash.
When former Tennessee Titans kicker Rob Bironas was involved in a fatal car accident last month, authorities initially believed that alcohol was not present in Bironas’ system.

However, toxicology reports indicate that Bironas had a blood alcohol level of nearly triple the legal limit, according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.
Bironas’ blood alcohol level was .218. The legal limit is .08.
There was also Valium in Bironas’ system, though it was likely not enough to impair his driving.
Since Bironas’ death, witnesses have described the former kicker as a confrontational on the road. One woman had said that Bironas tried to run her off of the road. A group of students also said that Bironas had threatened to kill them and attempted to sideswipe their vehicle at an intersection.
Moments later, Bironas lost control of his vehicle and veered off of the road when the crash occurred.
