Washington Redskins’ head coach Jay Gruden wouldn’t be surprised if his brother, Jon, left the booth to return to coaching

Since the Oakland Raiders officially decided to part ways with head coach Dennis Allen in the week, speculation about who their next coach would be began.

Although former Miami Dolphins’ Tony Sparano head coach is now running the show in Oakland, he isn’t expected to keep the job beyond this season.

Instead, a former Raiders’ coach, Jon Gruden, who also won a Super Bowl as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has come up in connection with the job. Raiders’ owner Mark Davis told reporters he believes the job is “enticing” and the Raiders are reportedly prepared to spend a lot of money on Jon Gruden.

Jon’Gruden’s brother, Jay Gruden, wouldn’t be surprised if Jon Gruden left his post at Monday Night Football to return to coaching.

“It wouldn’t surprise me one way of the other with Jon,” Jay Gruden said via Terry Blount of ESPN.com. Well, he doesn’t have an offer yet for coaching, but he’s got two great jobs he can potentially do.

“But I don’t want to put words in his mouth or predict anything. He hasn’t told me one way of the other.”

It’s going to be tough to Jon Gruden to leave such a great job but he is reportedly very interested in the possibility of working with Raiders’ rookie quarterback Derek Carr.
