Ricky Rubio sounds happy Kevin Love was traded to Cavaliers
By Josh Hill
One of the biggest stories of last season was where Kevin Love would end up. His former teammate in Minnesota, Ricky Rubio, is glad the superstar is gone.
When the Minnesota Timberwolves were shopping Kevin Love, one of his estranged teammates went on the defensive by telling the All-Star to either shut up or go away. Ricky Rubio wasn’t known for talking much before that but he seemingly hasn’t stopped since.

Like a lover scorned, Rubio simply cannot stop talking about Kevin Love and how happy he is that the forward was traded.
According to Jeff Caplan of NBA.com, the Timberwolves guard is happy that Love is gone. Not because he’s bitter, but because he saw the forward as a distraction the team nor the player needed .
"“Of course we had a lot going on last year and the media was talking, they were wondering if Kevin wanted to be here, blah, blah, blah, and that hurt the team and hurt himself,” Rubio said. “Now that he’s not here, the media’s not going to talk about that anymore. I think that’s going to be good for him and for us.”"
Rubio is starting to let a tart personality be shown in recent months as his filter has been nonexistent, which has been nice. Rubio was the quiet shy kid in class before, but he’s turning into something completely different and Wolves fans are hoping that translates to elevated play on the court this season.
