Tobias Harris is a budding star in Orlando, and he’s going to get his chance to prove that in 2014-15.

The Orlando Magic are looking at this upcoming season as one in which they can truly break out and become a sharp young team that can contend. They won’t be winning much in 2014-15, but Tobias Harris has a lot to lose if he doesn’t play well.

Harris is playing for a big money contract this season, and it appears he’s going to be getting his shot to prove himself. According to Orlando Sentinel beat writer Brian Schmitz, the Magic are likely to start Tobias Harris in place of the injured Channing Frye to start the season off.

"With the injury to Channing Frye, Harris should be the logical and immediate replacement at power forward for how ever long Frye is out with a sprained knee. Frye could miss anywhere from one to two months."

Frye could be out for months to start the season, which means Harris may have ample time to play his way into the starting role in a permanent manner. That’s what big money players do, and if Harris wants to prove himself then this is his chance.
