Fan critically injured in beating after Royals-Angels playoff game
By Bryan Rose
In a scene far too reminiscent of what took place just up the I-5 at Dodgers Stadium a few seasons ago, a fan attending the Kansas City Royals-Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim playoff game on Friday has been critically injured in a beating.

According to KTLA, an unidentified man was walking to the stadium parking lot with three men approached and began beating the fan.
"A passerby who saw the victim down alerted an Anaheim police officer who was working in the parking lot. The officer found the man laying on the ground and unresponsive. He was rushed to a local hospital and last reported to be in critical condition, Dunn said. The victim did not provoke the men, according to Dunn, who added that the motive for the beating remained unknown."
At this point it is not known if the attack was captured on video camera nor if the fan was a Royals or Angels fan. It’s also said that police have yet to release a description of the alleged attackers though given the reports of three attackers, it’s likely somebody witnessed the beating.
As mentioned above, a similar situation took place during a game at Dodgers Stadium in 2011 when paramedic and San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow was attacked by multiple people in the stadium parking lot.
Our best wishes to the man and hopes for a full recovery. The Royals and Angels are scheduled to play in Game 3 of the American League Division Series in Kansas City on Sunday afternoon.
