When you’re Brett Favre, what do you get your buddy Dale Earnhardt Jr. who has just about every toy one can imagine?

It’s not like you can get Dale Jr. a fancy car simply because he pretty much has an entire factory stock. Hell, this is the same guy who pretty much owns a complete operating and working 1850’s western town in his backyard.

Clearly, former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre was perplexed as to what to buy the Nascar talent so he did what any good friend would do – he didn’t buy him a damn thing.

Instead, the former NFL player decided to write a poem for the race car driver.

"There once was a man from Carolina,As a driver there’s none that were finer,At 40 years old, you’re brave and you’re bold,But watch it Dale, there’s a young guy behind you."

After reading that you’re probably sitting there thinking I just randomly made that up to make Brett Favre look bad, but that’s the exact poem Favre wrote for Dale Earnhardt.

Don’t believe me? Give Dale’s tweet a look.

Completely random side note but doesn’t it appear as if Brett Favre recorded that birthday message right after filming his new commercial for a grooming product?
