Ellen DeGeneres Donates $10k to Devon Still (Video)
Talk Show Host/Comedienne Ellen DeGeneres donated $10,000 to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where Devon Still’s daughter is fighting for her life against cancer.
Anyone who has ever experienced cancer first hand or even known someone who has battled the disease knows just how ugly of a disease cancer can be. This makes the impact all that much more difficult when it is a child fighting for their life.

This is exactly what Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still and his four year old daughter Leah are going through right now.
Back in June, Leah was diagnosed with Stage Four Neuroblastoma. Her father was informed that the young girl had a 50 percent chance of survival.
Thankfully, Leah is a fighter.
This brings us to today when a video of Devon Still’s appearance on The Ellen Show made its way to the internet. He came on the show to update the world on his daughter’s condition and discuss her ongoing battle with the Neuroblastoma.
He informed Ellen that Leah just underwent successful surgery and that she has completed her third round of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, this round hit her a little harder than the rest because she had not fully recovered from her surgery just yet.
Ellen, who was wearing Devon Still’s number 75 jersey, had a little surprise in store for Still. Ok…so it was a pretty big surprise. She informed him that she was going to take the jersey that she was wearing and have a number of celebrities sign it (as well as herself) and then they would be auctioning it off with all proceeds going to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where Leah is being treated.
In addition to that, she informed him that thanks to her partnership with Shutterfly, they would also be donating $10,000 to the hospital. An incredibly happy father thanked Ellen for her donation saying that it will not only help his daughter Leah, but everyone else who’s family is battling the debilitating disease.
Ellen is the latest in a string of people who have helped stand up to cancer by getting behind the Devon Still’s young daughter Leah. After being cut by the Cincinnati Bengals, the team signed Still to the practice squad.
This would not only guarantee him a paycheck, but would also make sure that he had the health insurance necessary to get Leah the treatment she so dearly needs and allow him to spend more time by her side.
On October 5th, as the New England Patriots took on the Cincinnati Bengals, the Patriots cheerleaders appeared in Devon Still’s jersey as a sign of support for Leah.
This is certainly a touching and compelling story that we are sure to remember for some time to come. Hopefully, Leah will continue to be here with us so we can all remember together.
