Wide receiver A.J. Green continues to struggle with a toe injury. He played through the injury for the first few weeks of the season, though even then his status was held in doubt in the time approaching his team’s respective games. When he was carted off the field in practice before week 6, it was clear that the injury was something more serious.
He missed last week’s game against the Carolina Panthers, and Green will once again be out this week against the Indianapolis Colts.
According to Adam Schefter:
Marvin Lewis told @lindsayczarniak that Bengals WR A.J. Green is out for today's game vs. the Colts.

This does not necessarily come as a surprise considering the fact that Lewis alluded to a vague timetable this week in reference to Green’s injury. The Bengals might have tried to stall an official announcement for week 7 in a bit of gamesmanship, but it hardly seems likely that the Colts were ever worried that Green would be out there.
In three games of action this season, Green has 17 catches for 314 yards and two touchdowns. Much of the action in the Cincinnati passing game will once again go Mohamed Sanu‘s direction.
