In just a matter of hours the Kansas City Royals will open Kauffman Stadium to World Series play for the first time in nearly three decades.
Opposing them will be the San Francisco Giants who are appearing in their third World Series in the past five seasons. Clearly a matchup of exuberance versus experience, both the Royals and Giants were a single game away from not even advancing out of the Wild Card round but both have rode their hot streaks to the Fall Classic.
San Francisco is currently 8-2 during the 2014 postseason while Kansas City has yet to lose a game at 8-0.
