Betting odds for Game 7 of the 2014 World Series favor the Kansas City Royals over the San Francisco Giants by a slight margin.

More from Kansas City Royals

In a matter of hours the Kansas City Royals will host the San Francisco Giants in a winner-take-all seventh game.

It’s just one of a handful we’ve seen in the past few decades and fans outside of both teams are thrilled with the prospect. Those rooting for the Royals or Giants however are likely experiencing a day full of stomach turns and twists and nerves get the better of them.

For those looking to bet on the game, the oddsmakers believe the Kansas City Royals will end the evening with the trophy as generally they’re rated as a -140 favorites. Lines differ slightly depending on your source but that appears to be the general feeling.

If you’ve never bet on such an odd before, essentially if you threw down $140 bucks you’d come away with an additional $100 bucks in your pocket if you won.

Ironically in the same Game 3 matchup which featured starters Tim Hudson and Jeremy Guthrie who are expected to take the mound in Game 7, it was the Giants and Hudson who were the slight favorites though that could be attributed to the fact that they were playing at home.

The Kansas City Royals went on to win that game.

In short it appears to be somewhat of a coin flip in regards to who will be able to call themselves World Series Champions at the end of the evening. San Francisco will be trying to win their third title in five seasons while Kansas City will be attempting to win their first championship in nearly 30 years.
