Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck is a pretty nice guy; especially on the field when talking to the other team.
Sportsmanship is something that is still rare these days, but when we see a public display of niceness on the football field it’s something that makes us take a step back.

Andrew Luck is the latest example of a football player sidelining the machismo to acknowledge when a good play against his team has been made.
Does it necessary mean there is a problem or that Luck is betraying his team? Of course not. The Colts are still a great football team. The franchise is currently 6-3 and in sole possession of first place in the AFC South. Andrew Luck is still a fantastic young quarterback. He has led the team to consecutive playoff appearances in his first two years, and is in prime position to repeat the feat again, following a 40-24 beating of the New York Giants last night.
He’s been hot all season, but that hasn’t stop him from handing out compliments to his opponents — even when he’s the recipient of a hit.
So far this season Luck can be grouped into an elite pool of regular season MVP candidates. Anyone doubting him should look at his numbers, which have him leading the NFL in touchdowns, passing yards and completions.
As far as the team is concerned, they probably do not care about their quarterback’s good nature towards would-be tacklers, so long as he remains effective throughout the season. It does, however, remain an anecdotal point of observation that not all football players are created equal and that statement isn’t exclusive to their skills on the field.
