It may be hard to believe, but Brian Hoyer has been able to continue to limit his mistakes — while Andy Dalton was in playoff form as an absolute disaster — as the Browns rolled on the road against the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals.
When the final whistle blew, the Browns were too much for the Bengals and a struggling Dalton as they went on to earn the 24-3 win.
The game was never in doubt for Cleveland.
From the beginning of the first quarter, the Browns seemed to be clicking on all cylinders and the offense was rolling while the defense was able to shut down Dalton and a lackluster Bengals attack.
Cleveland jumped out to a 17-3 first half lead and they never looked back.
Sadly, it appeared as though the Bengals had given up.
The Browns’ three-headed rushing attack of Ben Tate, Isaiah Crowell and Terrance West was on point and able to set the tone for the Cleveland offense. Each of the three running backs found the endzone once throughout the course of the night and they all averaged more than three yards per carry.
As a team, the Browns gained 170 yards on the ground, with West’s 94 yard performance leading the way.
For the Bengals, Andy Dalton’s struggles left the team in no position to win.
Dalton finished the game with a 2.0 quarterback rating on 10-of-33 passing for 86 yards and three touchdowns. Yikes.
Cleveland is now 6-3 and in first place in the division. Raise your hand if you saw that one coming.

Cincinnati falls to 5-3-1.
The Browns return to action next week at home against the Houston Texans, while the Bengals travel to the Superdome for a meeting with the New Orleans Saints.
