The Minnesota Twins unveil their new home jersey which features gold trim and an updated logo on the hat.

A few days ago news leaked suggesting the Minnesota Twins would be unveiling a new home jersey for the 2015 season. The biggest takeaway was that for the first time in nearly three decades, the Minnesota Twins home uniform would not feature any pinstripes.

The team was not expected to officially announce the new uniform until later this week though MLB jersey supplier Majestic got a bit ahead of themselves and posted the new look on their website. That lead to the Twins releasing the new jersey on social media.

As expected, the pinstripes are completely removed and the chest script has stayed the same though does have a new color splash along with a golden background hue.

That look extends to just about every place on the jersey as the gold color has also been added to the arm and neck trim.

It’s very strange to look at a Minnesota Twins home uniform and not see the pinstripes so this might take people quite a while to grow accustom to. You’ll also notice the hat has the updated logo as well. There was speculation the Twins could have included a gold bill on the cap but that does not appear to be the case. Here is a closer look at the hat:

As for the remaining Minnesota Twins jerseys, it appears as if the pinstripe look will become an alternate via the infographic while the road jersey will remain unchanged.

How say you, FanSided? Are you a fan of the new look? Or should the Minnesota Twins have stuck with their vintage pinstripe look for all their home games?
