As you know in the NFL, fans of opposing teams usually play nice but not always.  On Sunday, after Cincinnati Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham scored a touchdown, he threw the ball to a Bengals fan he found in the stands.  Problem was, a New Orleans Saints fan had other ideas.

Replay shows the Saints fan grabbed it right out of the hands of a female Bengals fan standing in the front row.  A still picture shows the Saints fan giving a thumbs down sign.  Gresham saw it happen and after the game told reporters that the Saints fan who stole the ball from the Bengals fan should be “ashamed of himself”.

All turned out well in the end though.  The female fan, who was identified as Christa Barrett, was given a ball by the Saints to replace the one kept by the Saints fan, identified as Tony Williams.  Williams, for his part, said he has had tickets in those seats since the Superdome opened and wanted the ball.  He was able to keep his as well.

As for the game?  Well that didn’t turn out so well for the Saints.  The Bengals came away with a 27-10 victory and put themselves back into first place in the AFC North.
