Manuel Neuer apparently isn’t a fan of Christiano Ronaldo’s underwear advertisements as the goalkeeper decided to take a shot at the soccer playing celebrity.

It appears the beef between Manuel Neuer and Christiano Ronaldo won’t be coming to an end anytime in the near future after the goalkeeper unleashed a verbal attack on the superstar.

Sparing for the Ballon d’Or, Neuer decided to unleash a rather low blow directed at Cristiano Ronaldo but it wasn’t so much for his on-field play but rather his off-field activities.

Ronaldo, who not only is an iconic soccer player but also an international celebrity of course endorses multiple products including underwear which he’s been known to pose in for advertisement campaigns. Apparently Manuel Neuer isn’t a fan as he decided to rip Ronaldo’s penchant for dressing up in underoos.

“Even though I’ve signed an endorsement deal with Adidas, I’m not the ambassador of a brand or a model that poses in his underwear.”

Neuer wasn’t done, however.

“I prefer to limit my show to the pitch. I pick the green grass over the red carpet, I’m more comfortable there. After the games, they show the goals, the assists, the chances. The nice saves aren’t remembered, even though you often risk to injure yourselves while doing those.”

It’s one thing to take a shot at another man but to call him out for modeling underwear?

Talented as Manuel Neuer is, he does have a point. Not only does his position make it difficult to win the Ballon d’Or but going up against a player of Cristiano Ronaldo’s fame and popularity makes a difficult task nearly impossible.
