Many laughed at Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon who decided to take a job as a car salesman after the NFL suspended him through Week 11.

Apparently he wasn’t joking though as multiple fans have suggested that Gordon helped them buy a new car and they weren’t the only people who Gordon assisted.

That’s the word from TMZ who says Gordon helped out fellow athlete Mike Miller, who signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers this past offseason. Miller didn’t buy a car though he did lease one and Gordon reportedly had a significant hand in the transaction.

"We’re told several of Gordon’s teammates visited the WR on the lot — unclear if any of them actually bought a car.But get this … Cleveland Cavs player Mike Miller leased a car from the dealership … and we’re told Gordon had a lot to do with the sale."

While we’ve seen some athletes attempt to work a normal 9-5, like Ron Artest (Metta World Peace) during a stint at the now defunct Circuit City, it does appear that Josh Gordon actually embraced the role and wanted to be a good employee.

By all accounts and indications, that’s exactly what took place.

His days as a car salesman are now over though as Josh Gordon will be able to practice and suit up with the Cleveland Browns this weekend when they take on the Atlanta Falcons. During Gordon’s suspension he was allowed to be at the Cleveland Browns facility and catch balls off the JUGGS machine though could not actually participate with the team or coaches on field.

Should be interesting to see what type of performance he unleashes on Sunday given it’s his first game back from the suspension.
