Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon says he plans to tear the NFL up when he returns from his suspension this weekend against the Atlanta Falcons.

More from Cleveland Browns

For the first 11 games of the NFL season, Josh Gordon had to watch his Cleveland Browns on television (perhaps at the car dealership he was working at) as he finished out an NFL suspension.

Yes, Gordon could be at the Browns facility but he couldn’t practice with the team and wasn’t allowed to do much other than catch balls off the JUGS machine. However with his banishment concluding this past Monday, Josh Gordon has been working out with the Browns and is ready to put his talents on display Sunday afternoon against the Atlanta Falcons.

One might assume that Gordon would be a little reserved given everything he’s gone through the past few months, but that’s not the case as the wide receiver has grand intentions once he sets foot on the field this weekend and for the remainder of the season.

Speaking to former NFL wide receiver Nate Burleson and current analyst, Gordon had words of warning for those who dare attempt to cover him.

“He said, ‘I plan to lose 10 to 15 pounds and when I come back I’m going to tear this league up,'” Burleson said. “Now, this offense is different; it’s not the same offense as last year. So, they’re not going to be running and gunning, throwing the ball up the sideline, but definitely look for them to get Josh involved early, kind of to get his rhythm back.”

The Cleveland Browns have hinted they plan to slowly bring Josh Gordon back into the offense though its a sentiment few are buying and is likely nothing more than a tactic on behalf of the Browns in effort to sneak-attack Gordon’s ability.

Sounds like Gordon wants everybody to prepare for fireworks.

Should be one hell of a show if he can back up his talk.
