The Buffalo Bills who will ‘host’ the New York Jets in Motown are having their logo stenciled in at Ford Field, home to the Detroit Lions.

While Ford Field will have Detroit Lions paraphernalia littered throughout the stadium and its concourse on Monday night, one place void of the logo will be mid-field.
As you well know, the Buffalo Bills will host the New York Jets at Ford Field due to the epic snowstorm in Update New York and wanting to make the team feel at home their logo is currently being stenciled in at the 50-yard line.
It’s not known if this was at the request of the Bills, NFL or if the Detroit Lions were simply nice enough to allow such.
Of course, many sports fans are very superstitious and the last thing they want is another logo on their home field so the reaction on social media hasn’t exactly been positive.
Obviously the Detroit Lions couldn’t leave their logo there (despite likely wanting to) since so many eyes will be on the game though the NFL could have just suggested they use their shield to make life easier since almost every NFL stadium is equipped with such.
If it was a good will gesture on behalf of the Detroit Lions, they certainly deserve a high-five as that’s a pretty cool thing to do for a displaced team.
Should be interesting to see the type of fans who show up for the game and who they’ll be rooting for.
[UPDATE:] They’re working on the end zones too.
