AFC Playoff Picture 2014: Chiefs, Chargers Hold Wild Card Spots

Entering Week 13 of the NFL regular season, the AFC Playoff Picture is beginning to take shape with the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers currently holding the Wild Card spots.
It is rare to see a playoff race as wide open as we have with the AFC Playoff picture entering Week 13 of the regular season.

Currently sitting in the No. 1 spot is the New England Patriots, who hold a league best record of 9-2 along with the Arizona Cardinals, while the Denver Broncos come in at No. 2.
The other division leaders are the Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts, while the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers sit in the driver’s seat for the two Wild card berths.
Outside of the current top six, there are a number of teams still alive with winning records.
The Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns all six at 7-4 entering Week 13, the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills are at 6-5 and the Houston Texans are still alive at 5-6.
Things will get interesting in the AFC playoff race once another week is in the books. And with time running out in the final month of the season, it is more important than ever for the teams in the playoff mix to come away with the wins.
