Sports Illustrated just posted an article with footage of Bol Bol, son of former NBA player Manute Bol playing Junior Varsity High School Basketball.
Bol Bol started his first game of basketball in high school this past week. He was simply dominant. There are plenty of reasons for this though. For starters, let us refer you to the video posted below.

It is very difficult not to be imposing when the game you play relies quite a bit on size. Standing at 6 feet 10 inches tall, Bol is just 14 years old, and there is no indication at the moment that the kid is done growing. His genetics attest greatly to this expectation, as his late father stood at 7’7″ himself, a figure that still holds down as tied for the greatest height in NBA history.
Like his father, Bol is also an excellent defender. Go ahead and count how many blocks he dishes out in the video. We will wait. Impressed? So were we. What sets his game apart from Manute’s is that Bol has a pretty solid mid-range game working for him. Granted, it is a little too early to predict whether or not that will hold up against tougher competition, it is nevertheless, a great sign.
In addition to those tangibles, Bol appears to be a solid passer for a kid his size. The only issue for now is whether he will get a chance to prove himself on the varsity level. Transfer rules might have him ineligible until next year.
