Cleveland Browns and NFL rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel is sad following his first half as a starting quarterback.

More from Cincinnati Bengals

Johnny Manziel had an absolutely awful first half as a starting quarterback against the Cincinnati Bengals. He threw for 22 yards on four of nine passing, and also threw two interceptions. Those numbers simply aren’t going to get the job done, and the Browns are trailing the Bengals 20-0 after his first two quarters under center.

There is definite disappointment in the air in Cleveland, and there are already some calling for Brian Hoyer on social media. Manziel hasn’t looked nearly ready for this start against a division rival, and he is playing awful football so far. He has been trolled all afternoon with money signs from the Bengals’ defense whenever they have made a good play as well.

Take a look at Manziel looking said as the Browns headed into halftime:

Needless to say, this is not the NFL starting debut that Mike Pettine and the Browns were expecting to see from Manziel. They were hoping that he could bring some playmaking and a fresh blast of energy to the field. It will be intriguing to see what ends up happening in the second half, and whether or not Hoyer sees the field with the way that Manziel is playing.
