Johnny Manziel’s first NFL start was a disaster and he was at a loss for words and even movement as he sat on the bench during the rout.

The much-ballyhooed NFL starting debut for former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel was just about as complete a bust as it could be.

Manziel was 10-for-18 for 80 yards. He was sacked three times, threw two interceptions and ran for 13 yards on five carries.

The Cleveland Browns, meanwhile, were blown out by the Cincinnati Bengals—at home—30-0.

Manziel was captured on camera on the bench in a state of pure shock … or horror … or just wanting to call Southwest so he can get away:

The Browns didn’t get past the 100-yard mark in total offense until Manziel threw a 7-yard pass to Travis Benjamin on the final play of the game. Cleveland finished the game with 107 yards of total offense—the lowest total for a team in an NFL game this season.

More from Cincinnati Bengals

The previous low was the 135 gained by the Bengals in a loss at Indianapolis on Oct. 19.

Manziel’s passer rating was 27.3; he would have had a 39.6 passer rating had he just spiked all 18 of his throws into the ground.

Cincinnati ran 71 offensive plays to just 38 for the Browns and held the ball for 38:52.

On the positive flip, Manziel’s play Sunday made Brian Hoyer’s recent showing look like the second coming of Johnny Unitas … so there’s that.

The Bengals inched closer to another playoff berth, improving to 9-4-1. Cleveland fell to 7-7 and are assured of being at least a game out of the final playoff spot in the AFC.
