The Buffalo Bills bought pizza and wings for the Detroit Lions as a thank you after they went above and beyond preparing Ford Field during New York’s epic snowstorm.

More from Buffalo Bills

You may recall a few weeks back when the Buffalo Bills, dealing with a biblical snowstorm in Upstate New York had to travel to Motown where they played the New York Jets.

It was an odd situation all around, though the Detroit Lions did everything they could to make the situation comfortable for both organizations, especially the Bills as the grounds crew even stenciled in Buffalo’s logo at mid-field.

The kind gestures weren’t overlooked by the Buffalo Bills who sent a mass amount of pizza and wings to the Detroit Lions as a thank you.

While it’s likely players on the Detroit Lions roster enjoyed the free grub, the Buffalo Bills’ gesture was likely meant more for those behind the scenes who spent their late evenings preparing the stadium for the unexpected game. The Buffalo Bills meanwhile were more than happy to spend a few bucks to send a thank you to those in Motown.

Pretty cool, right?

The biggest winner in all of this though? The local pizza joint who got the order. While it’s not known just how many pizzas and wings were ordered by the Buffalo Bills for the Detroit Lions, it’s safe to assume it was a significant amount.
