The Pittsburgh Steelers took a collective deep breath on Sunday night, as their star running back and team MVP Le’Veon Bell exited the game in the third quarter of the team’s 27-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The organization won its first AFC North crown since 2010, but in the process Bell suffered a hyper-extended right knee. However, according to team sources, they are hopeful he will be ready for Saturday’s wild card round match up with the 6th seeded Baltimore Ravens.
Bell, who just completed his second year in the team’s backfield, was named the Steelers MVP for this season, and is second in the league in rushing yards behind Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray. He has provided the team with a dual thread back, as Bell also finished the season as the team’s second leading receiver with 854 yards on 83 catches to go along with his 1,361 on the ground. His 2,215 yards from scrimmage are a franchise record.
Steelers left the stadium last night believing it could be possible Bell plays Sun. Will depend on how swelling goes down after he rests...

Should he be unable to go, it would be a huge blow for a Steelers offense that ranked second in the league with 411.1 yards per game, and seventh in points per game with 27.2.
