Every year there seems to be a trend atop the charts for the best selling jerseys in the NFL. This year it’s all about the quarterback as the four best selling jerseys all belong to signal callers.
More impressive is that seven of the top ten all belong to a quarterback.
Atop the list and leading the NFL in jersey sales is Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos. That of course isn’t strange as he’s routinely among the best selling jerseys in the league and claims his stop atop the chart yet again.
Ranking second behind Manning is Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, who ironically now leads Manning’s former team.
Rounding out the top four are fellow signal callers Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks who ranks as the third best selling jersey in the NFL while Cleveland Browns rookie Johnny Manziel impressively came in fourth, much of that due to his early season sale figures.
Breaking up the run of quarterbacks and placing as the fifth best selling jersey in the NFL according to the DICK’S Sporting Goods Jersey Report is Carolina Panthers defender Luke Kuechly. He’s the only defender to place in the top ten for the 2014 season.
After Kuechly comes Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy who ranked as the 6th best selling jersey before we return to the influx of quarterbacks. Placing 7th is Tom Brady of the New England Patriots while Joe Flacco of the Baltimore Ravens came in one spot behind.
Brandon Marshall of the Chicago Bears, who had the 9th best selling jersey in the NFL was the first wide receiver to make the charts while Peyton Manning’s younger brother, Eli Manning of the New York Giants finished off the top ten selling jerseys of the NFL’s 2014 season.
