Troy Brown said what? You did not read that wrong. Troy Brown said that Andrew Luck is ‘as good’ as Andy Dalton.
Almost every NFL analyst or expert you would talk to would tell you Andrew Luck is a much better quarterback than Andy Dalton. However, Troy Brown took to the air on Patriots Wednesday Live and was asked about Sunday’s Wild Card playoff matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and the Cincinnati Bengals and somehow the conversation shifted to a comparison between Luck and Dalton.

It is really quite a shocking and funny statement, but Brown goes on to try to legitimize his claims by saying that the numbers prove that they are similar. He also claimed how upset he was that people just see all the hype surrounding Luck and don’t bother to evaluate the players for who they are.
“You see these people try to build these guys up instead of just evaluating what they are,” Brown said. “He is what he is, he’s a decent quarterback.”
As the segment came to a close the host asked Brown if the Bengals would be a better team with Andrew Luck as opposed to Dalton and Brown simply said no. It is really quite an astonishing take on the two quarterbacks by Troy Brown.
Even though Andrew Luck threw for a franchise record 4,761 yards and 40 touchdowns, Brown does not think he is worth the attention he gets and is just full of hype.
