Cincinnati Bengals kicker Mike Nugent knocked through a critical 57-yard kick before the half against the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Wild Card round.
Mike Nugent picked a good time to kick the longest field goal of his NFL career.

The Cincinnati Bengals kicker drilled a 57-yarder with 15 seconds left in the first half against the Indianapolis Colts, allowing Cincy to enter the break down just three points in the AFC Wild Card round.

Nugent and the Bengals were certainly fortunate that the kick bounced in off the uprights. Sometimes you need a little luck and Cincy certainly got some there. The field goal finished off a seven-play, 20-yard drive from the Bengals that was set up by a fumble from Colts running back Daniel Herron.

The fumble, along with Nugent’s kick, very easily could prove to be the difference, as it appeared the Colts were on their way to put some points on the board prior to Herron’s miscue.
Instead, the Bengals were the ones that added to their point total before the break, making a close game even closer heading into intermission.
