Things got a little chippy on the sidelines during the third quarter when Bengals and Colts players got into it

The Indianapolis Colts are currently leading the Cincinnati Bengals 20-10 midway through third quarter of their AFC Wild Card match up. With such a big game having big ramifications, there are a lot of emotions flying on the field.

After a play on the field in the second half, things got chippy between a member of the Bengals and a member of the Colts. It’s hard to see who’s going at with so many players involved in the scuffle, but there were far more Bengals than there were Colts involved in there.

It appears that Bengals safety Shawn Williams was upset with Colts long snapper Matt Overton over something that transpired. That something, we don’t know, but it was enough to create a big pile of players scuffling.

More from Cincinnati Bengals

This is a game where one team’s season is going to end and another team is going to advance. The Bengals haven’t won a playoff game in 24 years and are looking to avoid a fourth straight year of losing in the Wild Card round. It’s probably best not to poke them while they’re down.

With another quarter remaining and tensions rising, there’s a good chance we could see more of these scuffles occur out on the field. The winner of the game will travel to Denver to take on Peyton Manning and the defending AFC Champions, the Denver Broncos.

The Bengals defeated the Broncos at home in Cincinnati this year, while the Colts lost to Denver on the road earlier this season.
