The Oklahoma Sooners began the 2014 season as a preseason top-five team based on their dominant performance in the Sugar Bowl win against Alabama, but Bob Stoops’ team struggled to a 8-5 record after getting blown out in the Russell Athletic Bowl.

If Oklahoma is to rebound in 2015 they’ll need big contributions from quarterback Trevor Knight after an inconsistent year ended with a neck injury and they need members of the 2014 recruiting class that finished No. 14 in the nation and included freshman phenom Samaje Perine to make a bigger impact.
The Sooners find themselves in the No. 14 spot heading into National Signing Day with 10, four-star recruits and 13, three-star recruits committed to play for one of the greatest programs in college football.
Will Stoops be able to pass the Texas Longhorns on signing day and have bragging rights over the Big 12 with the conference’s best recruiting class?
Update: 3:00 p.m.Oklahoma was unable to pass Texas after all the letters of intent came in, but Oklahoma finished with the nation’s No. 15 class, four spots behind Texas and the second best class in the Big 12 with a total of 24 commits.
