Nick Saban, and his wife Terry, were invited to a young couple’s wedding. Sadly the two could not make it, but were gracious enough to respond.
Remember when Nick Saban was the most reviled man in NCAA football? There was his decision to leave LSU one year removed from a BCS title victory. Then he left the Miami Dolphins after vehemently denying he would be accepting the offer from the University of Alabama to become their new head coach, a position he has held ever since.

If you are part of the anti-SEC movement, naturally there is some disdain over the Crimson Tide’s three championships in four seasons (2009, 2011, 2012). As it turns out, Saban is not such a bad guy. He and his wife, Terry, were invited to a young couple’s wedding, and the two actually took the time to respond.
Though they could not make the festivities, the Sabans wished the bride and groom to be a wonderful time at the ceremony. Just for added measure, they included a “Roll Tide” at the beginning as well.
In addition to the RSVP, Nick and Terry signed a photo for the happy couple. Even if you an a staunch SEC hater, one has to admire the Saban family’s connection to the people of Alabama.
Considering how much of a cult following the guy has (there is no way this is the first time he has been invited to a wedding), it is amazing that he even took the time to sign this photo himself. Check out the pictures posted below.
If you personally know the happy couple, game over. Coming from every college football fan around the country, there is pretty much no way to top that, save for the Sabans actually showing up of course. Still, it was an excellent gesture nonetheless, and provides a wedding memento not soon to be forgotten.
