Ariane Hingst score-boards the FOX World Cup pre-game show
By Mike Dyce
Former German soccer star Ariane Hingst score-baorded the FOX Soccer pre-game show while predicting the winner of USA vs. Germany.
The United States women’s national team is set to face Germany in the semifinals of the Women’s World Cup. It is a huge match up that could impact the outcome of the World Cup and the pre-game analysts on FOX were giving their pre-game predictions.
Everyone but Alexi Lalas went with the United States women’s team when they got to former Germany star Ariane Hingst prepared to make hers. She decided to scoreboard the crew by walking over and grabbing the Women’s World Cup trophy reminding everyone she is the only one allowed to touch it as a winner, before of course picking Germany to not only beat the USA but to win their third Women’s World Cup.
It is worth noting it would also be the USWNT’s third trophy if they won the tournament.
It is the clash of the tournament, pitting the No. 1 team and the No. 2 team in the world against one another. It is only the second time it has happened in the history of the Women’s World Cup.
It also could have other bigger implications on the outcome of the tournament. The last three times these teams met in the World Cup, the winner went on to win the tournament as well.
